We currently only offer shipping/delivery to the following US regions: New York City, Long Island, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, Parts of NY State and Pennsylvania. Deliveries to Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket are to Woods Hole Ferry terminal.

ITEM DETAILS:

Shown in L92″W40″H32-1/2″ seats comfortably 8 persons. Larger sizes to accommodate 10-12 people are available. Please inquire within.
Hand made with mortise and tenon joints, from quality kiln dried Solid White Oak wood offering 2″ thick table top, stretchers and solid 4″x4″ legs. Entire table is finished with FDA approved food grade pure plant based Tung oil.
Each tenon and mortise are hand finished and fitted so one tenon fits only one of all mortises. We use varying sizes oak pegs to hold mortise and tenons together. Sanding the frames by hand to smoothen the edges and blend the member together takes on average 5-6 hours. Tabletops and bed frames are stained using raw Tung oil diluted with citrus. Tung oil is plant derived and it is FDA approved food grade. Citrus oil is pressed from orange peels and compliments the Tung oil while helps it to penetrate the wood. Raw Tung oil soaks in the wood and it takes 8-10 hours between coats. It takes on average 3-4 coats of Tung oil to saturate the wood. While the Tung oil is curing we hand paint the frame and shelfs with organic milk paint. One coat grey and two coats of white with 8 hours in between coats.
We use real wood for all products, never plywood or particle boards.
It can take between 30-40 hours to complete a piece of our furniture. While it seems a lot, we would not do it any other way. Of course, processed can be automated and machines can be involved to produce parts, but it will take away from authenticity and uniqueness. Hand fitting and finishing our furniture guarantee each product is unique. Sure, they have all 4 legs and use same color stain and paint, but they have their own individual unique appearance and unmatched character.
Using FDA approved food grade stains and organic paints ensures that our furniture is easy on you and your loved ones, while is easy on earth too.

All of our furniture is finished with environmentally-friendly, non-toxic, NO VOC paint that’s versatile and easy to use. Made from 100% organic material, it’s safe for kids, pets, friend and family.
Our table tops, frames and bed frames are coated with Pure Tung Oil. The Tung oil we use is All natural, food safe, with a flat finish. FDA approved for food contact. The Tung Oil, is a pure oil that comes without any additives or distillates and together with the milk paint makes our furniture safe and eco friendly.

CARE and CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS:

Pure Tung oil takes 7-10 days to partially cure and 15-30 day to fully cure. After it is fully cured (for your order it will be about 3 weeks)
you can use mild detergent as “Ivory Dish Soup” or “Simple Green” will work too. Stay away from oil based cleaners and ammonia.
Use a damp soft lint free cloth and avoid abrasion.
For fixing accidental scratches and dents on the stained table top and shelves:
– lightly sand the area of the scratch and the dent
– apply the supplied Tung oil with soft, lint free rag at the area the scratch and the dent.
– leave it to dry for 30-40 minutes
– wipe out any area of Tung oil that have not soaked in
– repeat as needed to match the color of the top or the shelf.
